Green Banner is a group that primarily engages in L.A.R.P. (live action role-playing game), which is a form of role-playing game where the participants physically act out their characters' actions. Each person picks a character, suitable equipment and enrolls in a game in a fantasy setting, acting in a form of non-directed play. To make it simple: it is like entering the World of Warcraft as one of the heroes, but in a real world, in a real armor and with a real (but safe) sword.

The setting in which Green Banner takes part is a complex world with its own nations, states, history and gods. This imaginary world is full of perils like demons, ogres, werewolves and some not so friendly angels, magic is real and politics between “states” is important. And it is all in the name of good fun.

Events usually last for several days and include: camping, off-game hangouts with friends from other L.A.R.P. groups, a sort of fantasy pub for in-game relations and running around the forest , in fresh air, dressed like a knight, fighting and having a good time.
Green Banner also holds medieval sword-fighting trainings, practicing with L.A.R.P. safe, foam swords but in real armors and shields. Most of the members of Green Banner came because of the trainings, which are the core of group’s popularity and then discovered the fun of L.A.R.P. later and joined the game. This is what keeps Green Banner as a group fit, good looking and organized, it also brings people together, taking the camaraderie to the whole new level.
Some events demand special preparations, updating armors, costumes and special props. This is where Green Shield Workshop comes in, making everything from siege weapons and armors to small “magic” items.
